painted the room white. completely fucked.

i need to start planning where the cables are gonna go, where the tv stand/tv will sit and what to do with the dvd shelves. moving the dvds took a while, mainly because i've got a million gagillion of them.

newcastle got beat - Souness/Shepherd/Hall, you are utter cunts. Thank you for making newcastle a farce to be reckoned with. Die. DIE DIE DIE. D. I. E.

on the plus side, Shearer kicked fuck out of a gringo.

We bought a tv: this one. Even the wife likes it. As Alan Partridge would say "back of the net!" Also bought a new sofa. Rock on \o/

Music.

Things I'm listening to, according to iTunes 'recently played' list, are:
  • New Order
  • Iron Maiden
  • Guns n Roses
  • Aerosmith
  • James Brown
  • Van Halen
  • Oasis
  • Joy Division
  • Simon & Garfunkel
  • Dire Straits
  • The Jam
  • The Pogues
  • Kate Bush
  • Depeche Mode
  • Iggy Pop
  • Hall and Oates
  • Bee Gees
  • Bon Jovi
  • Neil Young
  • Rod Stewart (fuck yeah, legend)
  • Beck
  • KLF
  • The Who
  • Pink Floyd
  • Amy Holland (scarface soundtrack)
  • Michael Jackson (what's the best thing about 86 year olds?)
  • Blondie
  • The Cure
  • Utah Saints
  • Supergrass
  • Dr Dre
  • Snoop Dogg
  • Beastie Boys
  • Heaven 17
  • The Libertines
  • Franz Ferdinand
  • Maximo Mark (local, therefore they fucking rock. fact.)
  • The Futureheads
  • Jimi Hendrix
  • Velvet Revolver (the band guns n roses should have become. hold on, they did...)
  • Stevie Nicks
  • The Animals
  • Bob Dylan
  • Metallica (old stuff, they turned into bigger wankers more recently)
  • The Clash
  • Duran Duran
  • Led Zeppelin
  • Roxy Music (interesting story with this band, maybe i'll tell it one day...)
Weird mix, really. Most of it I started to like when I was growing up, hearing the odd track here and there. Some of the rock/metal is Hendrix/HBM's fault - spending summer with them in a farmhouse will do that to you.

I'll give the ones mentioned in comments a look (download) and see how I get on.

I have to go and make tea, wife is hungry.
Message for HBM, the feckless wonder horse.

I think we'll need to attack Fenwicks at some point in the near future. They're pricey.
